Wednesday is not only when the first half of the week is done, but also time to eat well. At City-Pub on Wednesday food day, all dishes that normally cost more than 10 euros on the menu are available for a snappy 9.99 euros. To help it go down better, there is also a small drink on top. (except for our grill plate and the tasty rump steak)

Archaeology in Saxony

The smac permanent exhibition shows 3,000 square meters of Saxony's history from hunters and gatherers to industrialization. 6,200 exhibits, the floating Saxony sculpture and a cut through layers of earth make the cultural history development tangible.

Exhibition: Math Magic

The exhibition turns math into an exciting experience. Hands-on interactive stations invite visitors to discover, puzzle and try things out. Topics such as geometry, statistics, calculation and counting are taught in a playful way.

Open process

The exhibition tells stories of migration since World War II, deals with everyday racism, right-wing violence since the baseball bat years and shows how those affected fought back - loudly, visibly and in solidarity.

The history of the Schocken department store

The smac gives Erich Mendelsohn, Salman Schocken and the department store group their own exhibition areas. In curved bays along the window front, timelines offer a chronological guide to the history of the building and its actors.
