The works of Gemma Luz Bosch move at the interface of sound art, sculpture, and performance. Long Thursday Out and About: Beneath the Surface, Beyond the Trees

Aljoscha, Daniel Hölzl & Abie Franklin, Sofía Magdits Espinoza, Sophie Utikal, Finnegan Shannon Info: The Suitbertus Lake in Düsseldorf Kaiserswerth is a place that is normally not accessible to the public: a shielded body of water that has been leased by the SAC Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth 1909 e.V. club since 1970 and used for fishing. As part of the exhibition Beneath the Surface, Beyond the Trees, the lake is temporarily opened and used as a stage for artistic interventions for the first time. These enter, sometimes gently, sometimes irritably, into a dialogue with the lake's ecosystem and its surroundings, thus creating new perspectives on the place. (…) The exhibition uses various spatial levels to make the place tangible: The water surface as an active, moving area, the shore as an interface between the body of water and the surroundings, as well as the surrounding nature as a space for discovery, irritation, and approach. Location: Suitbertus-See, SAC Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth 1909 e.V., Weg nach den Hingbenden 19, 40489 Düsseldorf.
