We go on a journey of discovery, research plants and animals, and get to know the forest in a playful way
We founded a jazz band, JumpingBlue, with really good people. This band interprets swing, bossa and jazz-rock hits from different decades, which literally everyone, i.e. even those who don't usually listen to jazz, know without exception. Among them are tracks by Al Jarreau, Frank Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison and many more. The all-important aspect of recognition is therefore guaranteed. At our first concerts we have already been able to record a lively response. That we have musical power is known from earlier projects. You can look forward to many well-known evergreens, such as "Take Five", "Son Of A Preacherman", "Sir Duke", "Just The Two Of Us", "Cantaloupe Island", "Moondance" or "The Girl from Ipanema". Many beautiful memories of the golden age of jazz and beyond; presented in the actors' own private expressive language and embedded on a grooving sound carpet. So it never gets boring. The quintet actually played together by chance at a gig for the first time out of embarrassment after several personal absences in a core line-up. Without any rehearsal, the musical spark immediately jumped over. Immediately afterwards, everyone involved agreed that such tonal synergy and personal sympathy is rare to preserve. The founding of the band was a foregone conclusion. All sound experts have been active and known in the supra-local scene for decades. We are: Klaus Jakobi: Tenor Saxophone Markus Klein: Trombone & Vocals Heinz-Peter Reidmacher: Piano Bernd Pitzer: Double Bass Jürgen Schmidt: Drums Maybe there is a use for something different sometime. Sometimes covered with our own style, but not copied.

COBRA Radio Play Workshop goes COBRA Theater Workshop After the successful 2025 youth project "Radio Play Workshop", in which nine children wrote, produced and publicly presented their own radio play, the project is entering the next round. Building on the previous experiences, the resulting radio play is being further developed and converted into a play. Together with the participating children as well as other interested children, a new theater and stage radio play project is being created. Under the guidance of a theater pedagogue, the participants work on acting, voice, movement and staging up to set construction. The conclusion is a public presentation or performance on the big Cobra stage as well as possible guest performances e.g. at schools. A special focus is on the connection between theater and radio play: individual radio play sequences are rehearsed at original locations (in the Cobra) – similar to filming for a movie. This creates an acoustically independent, filmically conceived approach that consciously sets itself apart from classic theater studio productions. The final results will be performed live, and a small tour with guest appearances in schools, the House of Youth, etc. is also conceivable. The project specifically promotes the media and expression competence of the children and also shows the diverse creative possibilities of digital and manual tools beyond mere media consumption. At the same time, it is a project that connects students, in which the experiences, ideas and life realities of the children of different [backgrounds] play a central role and actively flow into the artistic process.
