At the zoo: spaces for movement for a shared experience

During the Hessian school holidays, there are special afternoon opening hours in the children's workshop and three slots each for children aged 4 and up and families. In the summer holidays, we offer the following dates: 30.06., 01.07., 02.07., 07.07., 08.07., 09.07., 14.07., 15.07., 16.07., 21.07., 22.07., 23.07., 28.07., 29.07., 30.07., 04.08., 05.08. and 06.08. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 13:30-14:30, 14:30-15:30, 15:30-16:30 Tickets are available on site up to 15 minutes before the start of each workshop time (subject to availability)
The children's workshop is supervised by staff from the education teams, who give an introduction and help if needed. The open idea of the children's workshop wants to invite children to explore and try things out for themselves - to encourage curiosity and strengthen self-learning skills based on their own interests. Always on Saturdays 2:30-3:30 pm | 3:30-4:30 pm | 4:30-5:30 pm for children aged 4 and up.
Saturday tour 2026 The Justinuskirche endowment association warmly invites interested people to the Saturday tour. It begins at 11 a.m. and lasts one hour each time. The meeting point is the stele in front of Justinuskirche with the model of the Carolingian church building. The entry fee of 3 euros goes in full to Justinuskirche. No prior registration is needed. The Saturday tours take place on every first and third Saturday of the month, between April and October.

When: Every Sunday 10:15 am | 11:15 am | 12:15 pm Age: for children aged 4 and up
At these dates, a person guides visitors through the exhibition and, in addition to the content, also conveys exciting information about individual exhibits and gives a look behind the scenes. Always on Sundays 4 pm, from age 14 (recommended)
